Call for Artists: "Wearable Expressions" Market
The Madison Artist Guild & Gallery (MAGallery) is now accepting submissions for our upcoming juried market, "Wearable Expressions."
Hosted in our studio gallery, this special event celebrates handcrafted wearable art and accessories across all mediums. Wearable art beautifully merges fashion and personal style—we are looking for unique clothing, jewelry, purses, wraps, upcycled garments, headwear, and more.
Key Dates for Artists
- July 25: Deadline for applications and digital images (screening process)
- July 27: Notifications of acceptance sent via email
- August 31 – September 5: Delivery of accepted artwork to the gallery (Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM)
- September 12 – October 10: Market Open (Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM)
- October 12 – October 17: Pick-up of unsold items (Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM)
Submission Requirements and Perks
- Originality: All work must be original and created by the applicant. High-quality upcycled work is highly encouraged.
- Submission Images: Your application must include images that accurately reflect the style, quality, and type of items you plan to sell.
- Commission Structure: Artists receive 70% of the sale price. Payouts are processed and sent by the first of the month following the sale.
- Streamlined Setup: Upon acceptance, you will receive pre-printed labels for each item, inventory sheets, and your final application form to make drop-off seamless.
Entry Fee and Membership
To participate, artists must be current members of the Madison Artists Guild.
- Individual memberships start at $35.
- New memberships and annual renewals can be conveniently paid upon delivery of your work.
