MAGallery Artist
Gary Adams
Some of you will know the little spot in the road where I grew up – Broughton. I attended all twelve years of grade school in Morgan County, beginning at what is now the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. After a few years of college and some work experience, I settled into the field of horticulture, in which spent my working years.
Like many plant lovers, I also was interested in rocks, fossils, etc. I took a course with the Dallas Gem and Mineral Society and learned to cut and polish rocks. Later I took a course in metalworking at the Dallas Artist Guild so I would know how to set my stones into jewelry. Like other arts and crafts endeavors, metalworking offers infinite possibilities for creativity and learning, and I am as fascinated with it nowas when I started.
I have been married to Peggy Martin since 1995 and live in the suburbs of Buckhead, near Lake Oconee,
with our two dogs, Get Down and You’re So Cute.
